Are these original artworks or fine-art prints?

The pieces sold through Jamaal Prints are fine-art reproductions of original calligraphy and historical works. We work directly with contemporary calligraphers to reproduce their original artworks as high-quality fine-art prints. Each print is produced using archival inks on fine-art paper.

Can I order the artwork framed or unframed?

Our artworks are currently sold framed. Available frame finishes include white, black, natural wood, African walnut and mahogany, depending on the selected piece and size.

Can I return or cancel my order?

You may cancel your order within 24 hours of purchase, provided production has not started. You may also return an undamaged print in its original packaging within seven days of delivery. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. If your artwork arrives damaged, we will cover the return shipping costs and arrange the return or replacement for you.

Do you deliver throughout South Africa?

Yes. We deliver nationwide across South Africa. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your address and the size of your order.

Do you have retail store locations?

No, we only have an online shop.

Do you offer bulk or wholesale orders?

Yes, we can arrange bulk or wholesale orders. Please contact us directly so we can discuss your needs and organize it with you.

Do you offer custom sizes or commissioned calligraphy?

Larger sizes may be available for selected artworks. Contact us with the piece and dimensions you require. Commissioned calligraphy is not currently offered through the website, but you are welcome to contact us with your enquiry.

How do I choose the right size and frame?

Consider the size of your wall, the furniture below it and how much space you would like around the artwork. You can contact us for help choosing a suitable size, frame and border combination.

How long does production take?

Each piece is made to order. Please allow 5–10 business days for production before your order is dispatched.

What does the Arabic calligraphy say?

Each calligraphy product page includes the Arabic inscription, its English translation and information about its meaning and context.

What happens if my artwork arrives damaged?

Contact us within 48 hours of delivery and include photographs of the artwork and its packaging. We will arrange a replacement at no additional cost.

What is Jamaal Prints?

Jamaal Prints offers fine-art prints of Islamic calligraphy and carefully restored historical pictures of Islamic landmarks. Each piece is prepared to bring meaningful Islamic art into the home.

What sizes are available?

Available sizes depend on the artwork. Selected pieces are offered in A4, A3, A2, A1 and A0, as well as 200 × 200 mm, 300 × 300 mm, 500 × 500 mm and 1000 × 1000 mm. The available options are shown on each product page. We can also work with you on a custom size.

What type of paper, ink and frames do you use?

We use high-quality fine-art paper and archival pigment inks, printed through a 12-colour process to preserve the detail, tone and character of each artwork. All our frames are made from high-quality real wood. Frames larger than A2 and 300 × 300 mm are custom-made for each order.
