About this work
So Which of the Favours of Your Lord Will You Both Deny?
Some verses do not simply decorate a wall. They make you pause.
This piece features the deeply moving verse from Surah Ar-Rahman:
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
“So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?”
It is one of the most recognisable and repeated verses in the surah, almost like a gentle call that returns again and again. It reminds us to look around and remember the blessings we often overlook: breath, family, protection, provision, beauty, faith, and every quiet mercy we live with each day.
The calligraphy is written in a bold Jali Thuluth style, with flowing golden letters set against a deep black background. The composition feels strong, elegant, and full of movement. The large sweeping forms give the artwork a majestic presence, while the meaning of the verse keeps it deeply personal and reflective.
This is a beautiful piece for a home, prayer space, entrance, office, or any place where you want the artwork to carry more than beauty. It is a reminder of gratitude, of mercy, and of the countless favours of Allah that surround us every day.
